A Teacher Inspires His Students To Learn About Symptoms Of Alcoholism, Signs Of Alcoholism, And Alcoholic Symptoms

Mr. Johnson was one of the health instructors at a small rural junior high school in the Southern part of the U.S. For "Alcohol Awareness Month" he came to a decision that he would concentrate on the following three topics for a class assignment: the symptoms of alcoholism, alcoholic symptoms, and the signs of alcoholism.

After Mr. Johnson completed the topics that would be given to his students, he made up his mind that he would present their assignment the following Monday morning. When "assignment day" eventually came, Mr. Johnson met with his students, dispersed some pertinent facts and statistics, and then told his pupils about the topics he selected.

He then gave his class a synopsis of some key signs of alcoholism and emphasized how vital it is to become skilled at figuring out how to link these statistics, facts, and symptoms with the real-life situations of alcoholics. He then gave the students in his classroom a succinct explanation about the significance of learning more about alcohol dependent individuals and how they live on a daily basis.

Mr. Johnson told his class that they could isolate on one of the three topics or research all three topics and how they are interlinked. In brief this would be comparable to a general overview but done in a more comprehensive manner.

Another alternative that he presented to his class was the following: opt for a topic such as alcohol addiction signs and symptoms, dig into things in a more wide-ranging manner, and then go over three or four symptoms and signs. Mr. Johnson then mentioned that the same logic applies to the other two topics, specifically, alcoholic symptoms and the symptoms of alcoholism.

The end result of their investigation would be a eight thousand word research project and then a ten minute oral presentation that would be presented in front of the class. As recognition for their outstanding intellectual success, the students with the top four overall grades on the research project and on the oral presentation will be invited to present the findings from their research at the regional alcohol and drug abuse convention during the last week of April.

As articulated by Mr. Johnson, since there are numerous alcoholism symptoms and signs to choose from, he pointed out the fact that he was not excessively apprehensive about two or more students choosing the same symptoms and signs for their research project. Certainly, even if more than one student was to decide upon the same signs and symptoms, the illustrations that are associated with each sign or symptom would surely add enough diversity to avoid several students presenting the same content.

Mr. Johnson then mentioned that while there are numerous alcohol addiction symptoms and signs that could be chosen, the magnitude of alcoholism facts and statistics that could be discussed were almost limitless. When the topic of alcoholic symptoms was added to the conversation, furthermore, the students in the classroom understood quite rapidly that the three topics would offer a vast amount of material from which to choose.

Why did Mr. Johnson select alcoholic symptoms, the signs of alcoholism, and the symptoms of alcoholism as the topics for this undertaking? Mr. Johnson thought that by elevating the understanding of his students about the unhealthy effects of alcoholism and the miserable lifestyles experienced by alcohol addicted people, his pupils might think more carefully before they got caught up in excessive and hazardous drinking behavior.
